Fall 2022
regret - a feeling of sadness, repentance, or disappointment over something that has happened or been done
For this project, I was tasked with choosing a word I had a strong connection to and create a series of designs.
Regret is a feeling I hate deeply.
I hate to regret my actions. I am working towards being fully present without overthinking.
The graffiti on the STOP is a call to action, stop regretting…just be.

My inspiration for the other designs came from Asian-American recycling collectors
and heaps of trash bags in the streets of lower Manhattan.
Don’t regret something, it was just going to be thrown away or recycled for a better purpose.
Live and learn.

Was tasked with making a map of my journey to and from school everyday.
Laser cut wood to make stamps and an exacto knife to cut construction paper layers.
Black shingles used to represent sculpture adorned on the front of my university’s main building.

Had to collect first hand data to create an infographic, I decided to track my thoughts.
Not entirely accurate.
I wanted to understand if there was any correlation to the time of day and the unwanted ones.
One of my first attempts at using gouache, tasked with making a map for my earliest memory.
A memory of my backyard forest that is clouded with fog.
My neighborhood friend and I would build forts, bridges across the stream, and avoid thorns.
An attempt at making a map for those memories I can barely even see in my head.
